An origami bunny is not only beautiful, but it’s also fun. You can show it off to your friends, and it is very easy to make. You can draw on your bunny, you can make families, and you can even make your bunny hop!

Steps

1. 

   A plain index card.

   Grab an index card or other rectangular paper. Anything will work, so long as it isn’t square. You can use other things like business cards, a dollar bill, or a whole piece of paper.

2. 

   Fold the top right corner down diagonally down to the opposite side.

3. 

   Fold the top left corner to the opposite side, just as before.

4. 

   Fold the paper backwards through the center of the X. Open the paper. You should see two creases making an X.

5. 

   Fold the paper backwards through the center of the X.

6. 

   Open the paper again. You should see this.

7. 

   Push the sides in. Push on the middle of the bend with your finger, and they should pop in towards the center.

8. 

   Collapse the folds by pushing the sides in, and the top down. It should look like a house.

9. 

   Fold the sides inward.

10. 

    The result should look like an arrow. Fold the two sides of the “house” inward, so that they meet in the center. The sides will go under the points of the triangle on top. It’s fine to leave a small space in between the edges. Now the “house” should look like an arrow.

11. 

    Turn the arrow over.

12. 

    Fold the bottom part to the top.

    Fold the long bottom part up almost all the way to the top. The point of the “arrow” should still be showing.

13. 

    Fold down what’s left.

    Take a little more than half the long bottom part, and fold it down.

14. 

    Fold the points of the triangle….

     

    

    …in to the center.

    Turn the paper over again. Fold both points of the triangle in to the center.

15. 

    Curl the ears up.

    Curl the points back part way to make ears.

16. 

    Make your bunny hop.

    Make your bunny hop by pushing down lightly on the space behind his ears. Then, let go.
